Tennessee events › Answers › Are Dogs Allowed in Tennessee State Parks?

Yes, on a leash. 65 of the 65 Tennessee state park pages we read follow the statewide rule: leashed dogs are allowed, but not in lodges, cabins, eating places or swim areas. Great Smoky Mountains National Park allows leashed pets only on the Gatlinburg Trail and the Oconaluftee River Trail, and only in campgrounds, picnic areas and along roads elsewhere.
